While a teenager my Dad’s parents died just ten days apart, which had a profound effect on me. Overnight, I felt The Lord calling me to join the good folks at our funeral home in serving others. I began my career that summer and have been here ever since. I worked part time while a student at Baylor University and have been full time since graduation. By the age of fifty-five, I had already lost my wife, her parents and my parents. Grief is something I understand all too well. I know my purpose is to love and help people in grief. I’m proud to be a funeral director and I’m proud our funeral home has been a member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes since 1952.
